These formulas have limits
All four were developed for clinical medication dosing, not weight-loss goals. They're based on population statistics from decades ago, weight only a single number, and don't account for muscle mass, frame size, or body fat percentage.
The BMI range at the bottom is a more honest answer: a healthy weight is a band, not a single number. If you fall inside it, you're fine. If you fall outside, the question is why (muscle vs fat, where the fat sits), not "by how much."
